Father’s Day Gifts Thursday at 7 p.m. CST
We wanted to include a couple of Father’s Day Gifts Crafts so everyone is ready for Sunday.
During our Thursday craft together we will be making (decorating) Father’s Day BBQ aprons and jars for BBQ rub.

First, download the SVG file and upload into Cricut Design Space. Cut out with a Cricut machine. Make sure you put the iron on vinyl shiny side down and check your settings that you have Mirroring turned on.
Second, weed the excess vinyl away from the design. Start with the largest outside part of the vinyl.
Then, weed out the smaller parts of the design such as the letters.
I find this the easiest way to weed this design to make sure I don’t get confused and weed the wrong spots.
First, use the EasyPress to heat up the apron where the design will be going. Hold it down for 5-10 seconds. This will remove wrinkles and moisture and warm up the fabric.
The Cricut EasyPress should be used at 330ºF for this HTV. Center the design on the apron. Then place the teflon sheet over the vinyl and apron. Set the timer for 30 seconds on the EasyPress and press down. After this, flip to the back of the apron and press 5 more seconds. Afterwards, carefully pull away the plastic carrier sheet and press the design again from the front.
The texture of the fabric should be visible through the vinyl when it is thoroughly pressed into the apron.
Jar
Begin by downloading the SVG file and uploading to Design Space, the size can be adjusted to fit your particular jar. Cut the label out of white adhesive vinyl.
First weed the outside portion of the excess vinyl. Then weed the “BBQ Seasoning”. From there weed the letters, like E, T, S, F; that do not have holes in them.
Now cut out a piece of transfer tape that fits the vinyl decal. Place the tape on top of the design and rub with the scraper. Pull away the backing leaving the decal on the tape.
Place the decal square on the jar and rub with scraper starting from the center and working out towards the edges.
Reverse Weeding
Pull the transfer tape away from the vinyl.
From there, weed the remaining letters, making sure to keep the centers on the jar.
